anyone wanna help diagnose my d16a6 problem?
this is my last attempt...the car atempts to start after the fuel pump primes then just cranks...the fuel filter is new, the spark is good, injector resistor box tested good resistance, main relay is good...anyone ever had this problem....anything I might be over looking?....NO CODES...ecu good

base timing is good and so is compression...you cant check ignition timing unless its running or am i wrong on that?....by the way got sick of it so went to square one....ripped off the jackson racing and the fmu...put everything back to stock...still doin same crap...the fuel pressure seems to be weeping off though but when it cranks it goes back up to 35 lbs
are you running the correct injectors? you're not trying to use obd0 injectors with out a resistor box, or obd1 injectors with a resistor box are you?
i said at the begining the injector resistor box has all the correct resistance....and y would I put obd1 injectors in a d16a6 ??? theyre the stock injectors
you shouldn't lose fuel presure that fast. it should hold for a good 5-10min. I bet your fuel pump is at falt. But you could also do a fuel inj. leak down test just to rule them out.
so how would i find out if its the injectors..?? when I keep cranking the engine the pressure goes back up to 35 or so and the pump is on......I gave myself a deadline of the end of the weekend then it will be parted out and sold if it doesnt start... sucks to see a dream die b4 it hits the road

well i have not given up..........i had a problem sounds just like yours....my fix was a wire behind the block came loose and was grounding out lol i found it clipped it off for itwont ground out and walla it cranked right up......is any of ur fuses poped just troble shooting some other problems?????
pull the fuel rail out with the injectors still in the fuel rail and set the whole rail down on a peice of cardboard. then key on the ignition this should build fuel pressure. if you see any gas coming out of the injectors you now that there leaking. If not you will know that its the fuel pump
So run down,
your at least getting some fuel
Getting spark
Does it spuder at all?
I am guessing you have made sure your firing order is correct?
Also how did this start IE driving and die, came out after 2 weeks or was doing a upgradeon...

put the fuel rail on a piece of cardboard??? the injectors would blow out of the rail from the pressure haha....yes the spark is strong, initial timing is good, fuel filter is new, swapped out the fpr, .....I even went as far to go back to stock...it has the stock fuel pump and intake manifold now and still doing the same thing....it wants to fire then just cranks....starting fluid fires it up roughly for a couple sec....so I know it gotta be fuel
i just pulled the injectors and turned it out it turns over once or so...all the injectors fire at once then no more while its cranking...the fuel pressure stays at 30 to 35 b4 the rail and it isnt weeping off like it was b4
helms says your fuel pressure should be at minimum 35-40 psi... so that's one problem...
says you should check failed fuel pressure regulator, leaky lines and or clogged fuel filter.
also, it says the resistance in your injectors should be 1.5 ohms to 2.5 ohms. i'd check that with a multimeter if i were you.
also, test your resistor box, it should read between 5-7 ohms
to test that you put one prong on the lone terminal (terminal A) then test the other four individually

i got that sorted out...now im trying to figure out why the injectors only spray once...all the wires from the injectors to the ecu are good and same with the resistor box. the injectors sprayed evenly and all at once for the initial start but then no more after that...and the pressure stays at 35 while cranking..the slight inaccuracy of the fuel pressure gauge is because its a snap on test gauge and it isnt liquid filled...but anything over 30 should still be able to start it
