i need help on how to do the fog light cut outs n dont wana mess it up

i have a usdm front bumper (90-91)

if you take your bumper off, there are fog light templates on the inside of it.

 

i already checked the back and it didnt have them?

 

are you sure? i've got two bumpers in my basement, and both of them have the stencil looking template. look closer, lol. if not, i guess eye that **** up somehow.

 

templates should be there.

 

take the bumper off you will see it.

i went to the junkyard to look at a few other bumpers and i did find some with the templates but only on sedans and 88-89 hatchs?

 

the only thing i can think of is that your bumper is a oem replica but i always see the templates

 

yup,oem have em... (some have 2 different ones on some for stanley or bosch? if I recall correctly)

 

templates should be there. i pulled a complete OEM fog light set up from a 90 EX.

 

this guy must have the only bumper in the us that doesn't have templates for the fog lights. weird....

I just had to eyeball mine since i used slightly different lights. just make sure to mount and aim the lights before you trace them. i used a dremel to get the rough shape and then I used a flat file and a round file to get the final shape, just take it slow and test fit often.

Are you guys sure the 90-91 had the template? I know I did a set on an 88 and they had the template in the back.

Duh. I'm dumb. I guess the 90-91 you just have to cut out the back of the hole that the 88-89's dont have on the bumpers.

 

op, where are you located? i have an si bumper, black, you can HAVE it if you come and get it, lol. and it has the template's on the inside.
