Default little help???

Ok i got a 91 hf with a b16a swap, and gsr ecu. occasionally around 3500 rpm it will stutter real bad and not want to go past 4000 rpm. Any idea why it does this? maybe ecu? maybe fuel pump? i have no clue...... any help would be much appreciated.

timing is fine, problem has not came back for a while now. I'm going to do a little tune up this weekend on it. I'm almost positive its the ecu, and on top of all this my starter went out today =[

Are you throwing any Check Engine Codes?

What ECU are you running?

Since you converted to Obd1, there should be 2 wires you can put together and it will throw the CEL code on your dash. short blink = 1 long blink = 10

I have a mine happened to be blue and orange on my conversion harness.

Check these codes and report back. More than likely your issue is a sensor of some sorts.

I know one of the Check Engine Lights will be for the IAB Secondaries, which a GSR has wires for but the b16 does not have them in the throttle body.

if it has a catalytic converter, check that. it can also cause that if its plugged, which in turn would make the o2 read bad, which would make it either cut fuel, or cut oxygen.
