Just purchased some new mounts from innovative. They are the stock replacement for my D16.
The problem occurs with the driver side mount. The stock mount is thicker where it attaches to the bracket, because of this the threading on the screw of the bracket ends about a half in. before the bracket.
So when installing the innovative mount there is a lot of play between nut and mount.
My question is, anyone who has purchased this kit what did they do to solve the problem? Is there a spacer that innovative forgot to send me?
Thanks.

so on the driver side, there is a mount "box" on the frame rail. Is the space you are talking about inside the box, between the engine mount and one end of the "box", or is it outside the box, between the bolt head and the box?
there is a small amount of space on the stock mounts, inside the box, but there should be no play outside the box. additionally, your stock mount bolts should be enough to cover the distance internally so it all works out.
Do you have any pictures of the problem? It might be easier that way.

Alright here is what im talking about.

There is that space that the innovative mount does not have.
And the threading on the bolt of the bracket stops here

I would throw some washers and a lock washer..on top and not between the the block and the mount I have the same mounts but for a b series I will measure the thickness tomorrow.

Im not expertly informed but I have heard that the billet aluminium is mainly for the bling factor.
Washers ftw I suppose.
One last question. The rear bolt on the rear engine mount is kind of a bitch to get to. Any ideas?

get a wobble socket long extension and ratchet,
if you dont have wobble sockets get a short socket and wobble extension
you shouldnt ever have to remove the rear crossmember for that mount..

isnt there two different d-series mounts innovative make depending on the year of the motor
this is off thier site: "Designed to fit all FIRST GEN(88-91) D-Series motors with hydraulic transmission(NOTE: IF YOU ARE USING A 92+ D SERIES MOTOR PLEASE LET US KNOW, THE DRIVER SIDE MOUNT IS DIFFERENT FOR THIS APP)"
im looking to do the same swap in about a week or so except with a jdm d15b
