I was about 1 month ago BUT, I didn't get a job I wanted, NOW I got the job and have cash, I could either keep the car and make it mad nice (and Mod the **** out of it) or buy another ride. What do ya think I should do huh?

 

hmmm...since you live in NJ and don't do serious track work, I'd either get rid of the R, or get a beater so you wouldn't have to drive a nicely modded R everywhere.

I am thinking for myself to make the R into a barely legal, pure driver's car, and get a 1st-gen Nissan Altima to drive around. But that's just me, your situation is a bit different, I don't know how much $$ you're rollin with. Just don't spend all your dough on cars because you'll regret it later...

if you want to keep and hook up your R, get a daily beater. Otherwise, one hot car (M3, EVOVIII, etc) should satisfy your needs.

yes I could afford an BMW, BUT it would be kinda hard AND its kinda fugged up using benz money to buy a bemmer. Kinda like spitting in their faces don't ya think

Seriously though, if you really want to find some just wait around and hopefully one day you'll get them second hand. You can buy them new anytime you like but they cost an absolute fortune.. Or you could buy them second hand overseas but then the cost of shipping would be just as ridiculous. Yellow Recaro's/stitching interior is quite common in aus. People think nothing of them.

In my opinion, they're not worth the money you'd be paying.

If you really want something from Mercedes. Get the '03 CLK500 or wait for the AMG version if you are reallying rolling.

Surprisingly they're still perfectly clean as hell, but one little stain on the thing would ultimately spell disaster.

Seriously though.. they're not worth the money. Unless you score a bargain somewhere.

Yellow R with Yellow Interior

 

just got done driving the CLK500 yesterday for the day and its A great luxury car. The body roll is unacceptable for me and the handling is kinda sloppy. The car does Hual *** though and for a cruiser it really can't be beat right now. If I weren't so performance oriented I would get it in a heartbeat to cruise about BUT it put a smile on my face for only a short time. I don't think I would be inspired to drive every day like my R now. I NEED a stick car and neither the CLK500 or CLK55 AMG are offered in stick. Sure they are fast but thats not everything. I need acar that makes me smile everytime I drive and for the prices of those two cars, the DRIVING experience isn't worth 50,000 (or more) for me. But hey it just my opinion

MyYellowHonda - Check around your area and see if anyone is willing to sell thier yellow front seats, yellow stiched rear seats, yellow stiched shift boot and yellow stiched steering wheel... My room mate (along with hooptie157, who started this thread) are seriously looking for that stuff!

and I clearly understand that it is not really welcome to drive a M3 in MB parking lot............
any other german cars will look kinda bad, so yea maybe better staying the Japanese family....

 

I read in SCC the other day that mercedes AMG is offering a car that is supposed to compete with the new M3. I believe the name of the car was Mercedes C32 Coupe that has 354 hp and 332 lb/tq. The car is a 5 speed auto but has AMG's speedshift (maybe F1 style shifting). If your search is over try asking people at MB for this car.

 

i'm looking for the yellow jdm recaros and yellow stitched back seats as well.

i have $ in hand, been saving up forever for THESE seats. these seats are like the "unicorn" to me.

 

Check Ebay once in a while! I have seen some people from Japan selling them on there once in a while used. They don't seem to go for under $2000 though. They are nice as hell in my opinion but not worth that much, good luck trying to find a deal on them!

If there are any yellow Recaro's in japan, these guys can get it for you... as long as money isn't a big issue.
