Default 97 Lude Showing Age--Any Advice?

Ok, here is the situation. My 97 Black Lude is looking like a 1997 car, I want get it back to looking as good as it did in 1997. My engine bay is looking kinda crappy, when I got my car rust proofed, and later degreased the engine, the sealer ran out into the engine bay. I got quite a few door dings. Rotors and calipers are rusty. I am getting the engine pulled at the end of next year for new pistons and rods. I am not looking for a show car, just want it to look fairly new. What steps would you take to do that? Are there people that specialize in this sort of thing. I am getting it repainted , but probably not till the engine is pulled, that way the bay can be resprayed also.

I bought a two stage spray cleaner and detailer at Target. I think it was an Armorall product. The first step was to cover your electronic components (fusebox, distributer, alternator, etc) and then you spray the cleaner on, leaving it for a few minutes. The next step is to hose it down and let it air dry. (Run the engine for 10-15 minutes to be sure.) Then you spray on the detailer liberally and leave it on.

It worked for my 1998 model in less than 30 minutes it looked brand new. (FYI, I did it a couple of months ago and it still looks new.)

The cans are large spray cans, black and red. They came in a package of two cans wrapped in a paper package. Look in the automotive section near the cleaning products.

Anyone else know what I am talking about?
