ok i have a b17 in my 90 si.......i have had it in there for a couple months now...but never with VTEC hooked up....cause it has always thrown a code...we got it down to the knock sensor.....i re-placed that now it is throwning new ones...
code 9-cylindor position sensor and code 21-VTEC soleniod valve....
do any of you have any suggestions as to what might be causing my ecu to throw these codes?
could it be that i just need a whole new ecu???
please help this is getting really frustrating

 

remember that long blinks are 10 and short blinks are 1. U probably know that, but some people don't, and they complain about the wrong codes. good luck.

i had a VTEC engagement problem whenever i had my lights on, and sometimes even when i didnt, i found out my negative battery ground was about to fall off! Problem solved! Check your grounds!
