dohc zc pulley balancer. crx or itegra?????
i need to replace the main pulley or otherwise known as balancer on my DOHC Zc.
i wrecked my 88 hf with the zc in it and the front headlight got smashed and alot of the glass flew into the the crank. (the timing belt cover is only half there). i've talked to a guy that builds engines and he says that i probly just warp the balancer if anything. the timing belt didn't break and the block looks good.
i've looked through dozens of posts about zc's finding the parts lists that i've seen before but i didnt see anything about what pulley to use.
can any one tell me if i can use one from a d16a6 or the a1 from the 89 teg??? or does it matter?

D16A6 or D16A1 will both work - all of these engines came with 2 different crankshafts - the 88 and some 89 D16A6 engines, along with the 86-88 and some 89 D16A1 engines had a crankshaft with a 22mm diameter front snout, where the pulley goes on - most 89 and all 90-91 D16A6 engines and most 89 D16A1 engines had a crankshaft with a 24mm diameter front snout - the ZCs were the same, 88s and some 89s had 22mm, most 89s and 90-91 had 24mm - you need to measure the diameter of the front snout and get a pulley that fits it - most D16A1s had power steering which means that the pulley had an extra part on it for the power steering belt, which makes the pulley heavier - look for one with the least number of places for the accessory belts, as they are the lightest
if you have a 24mm snout, the 92 & up D16 pulleys will also fit the crankshaft, but they all use a 4 groove alternator belt which means that to use one you would also need the matching alternator

Ok so from what i understand, just like the d16s, the DOHC ZCs snout diam. depends on the year?
Once i get my stand and i can start taking it apart, i'll measure it to be sure, but it should be a 22mm; since its an 87, right?
