Rust on rims
so under the hubcaps on my 99' civic it is pretty rusty. Kinda a brownish orange look to it, and would like to get rid of that...
Should I just sand it off and then paint? or is there some rust removal product that i should look at?
thanks

yeah, your best bet is to buy some 180 grit paper, sand them down, and paint them the desired color.
if they are metal , autozone or any autoparts store has alloy wheel cleaner, look for the acid type, if you can spray it and it smells like ***? its the acid kind and it works great, i use (Dust no more).give it a try.

I have an advanced auto parts in town so i will check that out soon if thats the case.
well, now that i think about it, cleaning them wont do any good seeing as they'll just rust back up, buy the sand paper, sand them, rustoleum primer them, and paint desired color
