Wondering if any of you have installed an original winks mirror, and how much modification you had to do (if any). Please post pics if you got em'

I had to bend the brackets that came with the mirror to meet the width between my visor bolt points. But, other than that, it's been quite useful on the track. Not something I would consider for street use, to be honest. With the way it's mounted, you lose your stock rear view with the cover plate for it's mount, as well as the entire sun visor assemblies.

 

Thanks for the feedback matt, I was guessing I would have to bend the brackets. I like the added visibility and I wouldn't mind trying it out, but didn't want to have to drill new holes in my headliner

 

Ahaha.. I remember using one of those in my Mazda back in the early 90's. I didn't think people still used them.

 

Its a bitch on the street, I had it for about a week, but with the texas sun I couldnt pull my visors out because I didnt have any!

 

The install is complete, custom brackets, will post pics soon. whether I can get used to this mirror is a test of time, but I like not having blind spots.

 

For track use, it's spectacular... but I don't really like it on the street. Good thing my car won't have much use on the street.

 

it shouldnt matter street or track its your car. i hope you like the mirror.
