Icon2 Fender repairable?

Below is a picture of my passenger side front fender on my 2000 civic EX 4dr. It was there when I bought the car, and is the only notable dent besides being doored, etc.

Is this repairable without a new fender? I was considering trying to hammer it back in with a rubber mallet because it is just sticking out, but I'm not sure how that would turn out. Thanks

very repairable agree. A really good paintless dent repairman could make this look much better with no bondo/paint, but not flawless, but hopefully 25-50 bucks better.

Alright, thanks. 25-50 isnt bad.

Is there anything I could do myself to make it look better, or would that just be a bad idea?

if you good at body work, you could work it out with the right body hammer and dolly...Me personally would hammer that out and use some body filler, cause I don't know how to do PDR work.

Ugh, if only $50 were true. I recently took it to get a couple estimates, and they were consistently around $600. They gave me estimates for both a new fender/paint and repairing it, and they were around the same. They said it would take so much work to make it look O.K. it wouldn't be much cheaper than an all new fender. And that $600 was even with an aftermarket fender. It was the painting/blending that was killing the price. I'll probably eventually do it, just not now.

I wouldnt go with a after market fender unless you really have to. But i dont see how 600 is the cost of that, if I were you ill PDR or fix it yourself.

they are trying to rape you, go buy the fender yourself. take it to a shop and say paint it this color. bring it home and install it, that should not cost more than $200.

i bought an OEM fender a while ago for i think $98 brand new.

but do the paintless dent remover if you can

Well, I was thinking about that, and the main thing that cost the most was them blending the paint. If I just get it painted, it won't match the rest of the car and may not even be an improvement over the small dent.

And both shops said PDR wasn't really possible on a dent like this.

EDIT: They also mentioned the bumper is out of place, and the fender bracket is bent. So that might make replacing it myself difficult or impossible without some new tabs/brackets. I wish I knew more about what I was doing, both my bumpers are out of place but I wouldn't know what to order to fix it.

its good that you understand there will be a miss match in paint if they dont blend... because that is 100percent true.
