was just wondering if a tranny from a 96-00 D16y8 tranny would fit right into my eg. i have a 93 del sol s with a z6 engine just when i swaped it in i got it out of a automatic civic so i had to reuse the del sol s tranny which has amazingly loooong gears. 2nd gear pulls to 70mph....yeah. my friend has a 96-00 5spd and im interested just didn't know if it would bolt right in or if i would need other mounts. im pretty sure it will bolt right up to the block since d series have a lot the same. any one done this before?

 

it should bolt up with no issues.

 

any one else have any other opinions or experiences? just dont want to buy a tranny i end up having to sell.

It fits, all '92 - '00 Manual D-series trannys are interchangeable. I've personally used '96 - '00 trannys in '92 - '95 civics before.
