Machine Shops
Hey Iv looked alot over this site and really cant find anything about machine shops. I mean people talk about them but really theres no feed back. So far i heard that DH Racing is a scam pretty much. JE performance looks awsome but i really cant find anything on them. JGE is the same they look cool but cant find feedback. Also i found this place called 4-piston racing that says they can get 50plus cfm out ur head when they're done.
If anyone can let me know if they have any info or used one of these or another good machine shop let me know. I live in mid Jersey and theres a few here but i got work at the two local ones and they both really didnt o anything. they pretty much just cleaned and resurfaced. I want to find somewhere to get a nice job done.

if you take a motor to a local machinist thats all there going to do, unless you specify exactly what you want done. if they cant do it they will tell you.
if you wanted your head to flow more air you should have told them that. they would either do it themselves if capable, send it out to be done, or just tell you they cant do it.

yea man im not stupid..lol.. i mean as in everyone in my area isnt capable. THere are lik 2 shops that are but if u bring an import head to them theyll probably just beat u with it. I just want some info on any decent shops..Do you know of any that are good?
So what exact type of work are you looking for?
Simple decking, resurfacing, bore, hone sticking with local might be your best bet. If you're looking to port a head, sending it away to someone who does honda heads day in and day out is probably your best bet.
