I decided today that I'd paint my needles on my gauge cluster orange just because I was bored and saw it earlier today and it looked pretty cool. I plugged all three plugs on the back of the cluster in nice and tight heard the clips click and put the speed sensor back in. Now the lights on the very top of cluster weren't working for some reason. I took the left bulb and put it on the right side and when i went to put the right bulb on the left side (to see if that'd matter) my gauge lights flicker and went out and like 3 seconds afterwords I smelt something and it smelt like some kind of wire smoldered.

wtf happened!! I haven't checked all the bulbs yet. But I did unlpug the clips and plug them back in with no luck. The fuse is good because my taillights and licence plate lights still work.

Any ideas?

 

I went and bought an Si gauge cluster today and everything worked. I guess it was just the mother board on the other cluster that took a duece on me

 

i think its a different fuse for the dash and the rear end lights?
