Default EK: rubber strips on roof question

Just wondering if there is clean metal under these things or if there are holes from clips or what not? If it's smooth under there, any down side to removing them? Thanks

well if you remove them, and there are holes its going to leak, if you them gone just have them filled in.

They're probably the Honda guaranteed to break when you try to remove them clips too huh? I was hoping it was just smooth under there, thanks guys.

They are called roof moldings, and they are reasonable and easy to get from any Honda dealer

those moldings dont really do much actually... they are not clips underneath and are really easy to take off and put back on.. the car would look kinda "stupid" in my opinion if they were to be removed cuz you'll have two empty-ness on your roof. if you wanna take them off, just pull upwards from the MIDDLE of the molding. as the molding comes off, you will have to pull the two ends towards the middle of the roof as well to unhook it. you'll know what i mean when you pull them off. and when you wanna put them back on, its vice versa. it'll take you 10 seconds.

It looks much cleaner with them on. There are little tab like things that hold the molding in. Just leave them in.
