Default Code 20 - Load Detector issue, changed 4 fuse boxes

Like it states, Ive changed fuse boxes, yrs 90-91 and it keeps throwing the same code, what could be the issue? Is there anything else that im missing, forgot to change out, or what?

any other codes? i was throwing two codes, got them fixed, and my code 20 went away. try to check for grounds too. if the fuse box hasn't changed it it's not the problem.

Well there is codes 4, 20, and 22. Code 4 is the crank position sensor

Im not worried about code 22 because Im not going to swap the vtec head just yet. First I want to take care of the codes

just swapped 2 working dizzys and its the same code, got code 4 taken care of. question is its throwing code 22 for vtec solenoid, will code 20 be affected by this? is there a way to get rid of vtec code without having a vtec head?

code 20 being ELD? yes, another code will cause this. i was throwing IAT and IACV codes, got those fixed and the ELD went away. it's probably the ECU losing it's **** because there's literally no vtec solenoids, wiring, etc there. In my experience that's what's worked. Give it a try whenever you get the head on there. Is it immediate, or postponed when the code appears?

Im not sure I understand your last question. It cannot be the wiring because it was ordered from Monotech here on ht, p28 ecu, he guranteed the work, plugged it in a dx crx and it functioned fine. Is there a way to get rid of code 22 without having a vtec head?

When you start your car does the code appear immediately? Or does it come on after the car has been running for some time? With mine, the code 20 would come on after a few minutes of running. And I'm not sure how to get rid of that vtec code, but i'd say it's either the lack of vtech or an alternator. When the code appears will help you track that down. Hope this helps.

Try replacing you battery. I had the same code on my Si hatch and the battery dropped a cell. I put a new battery in and code was gone.

no your CEL disappeared because unhooking the battery resets the ECU, your CEL will come back eventually.

With my hatch the lights(headlights and interior) would flick once when a hit the brakes. I had several codes from replacing the motor. Codes were 7,17 and 20. I checked the ELD and everything checked out. Did a test on my battery and it was around 11v with car off. That is to low. I replaced the battery and the code went away.Checked the battery a few hours later and it was down to 9.5v, which means a cell collasped or went bad. I have driven the car for a 2 weeks now and no code 20 and the light flick went a way.
