Default MY 2000 EBP Si - From Hell to Here

Noticed a bunch of EM1's posting up albums the last few days and I've never posted my progress pics so what the hell might as well. Here's my 2000 Si, bought it on New Year's Day this year and it's been a non-stop project ever since. Kid I bought it from wasn't too bright and this thing's definitely been a pain in my a** but I'm glad I got it. Lemme know what you think.

Just got home with it, drove about 2 and a half hours to pick it up.

Lovin' the cracked & peeling rear bumper and big quarter panel dent. One of many.

Teardown time.

Scrapped the rear bumper for a new OEM one. There's the only real power mod to the car, full Apexi WS exhaust w/ test pipe. Tip was effed up though.

Missing floormats, center console, pass. side a/c vent, driver's side pillar trim, screws and clips missing all over. The local Honda dealer hated me around this time

WTF kinda headliner is this?? Bogus a** hand-stitched leather. *sigh*

After all that, THIS is why I bought it.

<<<Didn't take many pics during all the rebuilding cuz it was just me working on it and I could type all day about that stuff I did but I'll just show pics. Just know I was picky as hell and did everything right.>>>

Interior all put back together with OEM parts including a brand new headliner.

Repainted the valve cover/exhaust mani cover and a few brackets/replaced a bunch of nuts and bolts with new clean ones. Removed the CC and did just a little tucking.

New wheels & tires. 17" MSW by O.Z. Type-16's with Kuhmo Ecsta ASX's. Not too crazy of a wheels setup, plannin on spendin' alot more on track wheels/tires soon.

Picked up a Spoon-style lip and got to a stopping point here for about a month. Suspension btw is Tein Basic adjustables in the front with Tokico Blue adjustables in the back. Rear struts were SHOT at this point, new stuff coming up.

Time to do some paintin! Had a good size dent in the roof that the paintless dent repair guy couldn't fix when he fixed all the others on the car so it gave me an excuse to have some fun.

Painted the roof and front lip this color. It's a Mercedes black with green & blue flake. My Buddy Brandon edmiring his work and being very tired haha

And this is where it's at right now. I bought an Eibach Pro-Plus kit with struts/springs at each corner & new sway bars for the front and rear. Have all the rear stuff on with new OEM links, yet to put the front stuff on. Might just leave the Tein's on the front, they're in great shape. Rides and handles great.

The cars still got a long way to go, gonna start building a motor for it soon after the suspension is finished up, shootin for around 250whp NA. Next winter it's gettin' completely resprayed with a front bumper I'm workin on now molding in fogs & shavin the license plate holes. I'm not goin for anything real crazy with this car, just want it as clean, reliable and strong as possible til it's time for a new project. Now someone throw me some feedback and suggestions for new wheels! Thanks for lookin.

the fitment on the lip is nice, but the mismatched color throws it of in my eyes, but good progress so far! a carbon hood would set it off with the black roof though...and some OEM fogs!

Not feeling it at all. I don't like the lip, wheels, or black roof. As long as you like it though is all that matters.

No like the wheels. Would've saved myself the money and bought OEMs.

Considering what it came from, I would say the car looks much better. Unless a "hand stiched leather head liner" is your thing??

OP - lip and headlights are pretty knarly, but you've got the right idea. Save your pennies..get some quality exterior and you've got an attractive car. Good job on the interior.

i dont see how he ruined it..looks better then what it was..

needs a rear lip.
roof should be blue.
that lip should be blue and take that sticker off the lip.
interior looks nice.
needs to be a little lower.

not bad.

not feeling the wheels. i feel 17s are just to big for our cars, but some can get away with it.
