Default Koni yellow and gc trouble????

My car sounds like it is bottoming out on every bump I hit and I can't figure out y cause my friend has the same setup I have and he is all the way down on the last ring on the shock and all the way down on the gc coilover and on mine I'm on the second ring from the top on the koni shock and all the way down on the coilover.....I'm thinking the reason y I'm bottoming out and he's not is I think it's cause I have no bump stop but he does and I just want to get other ppl point of view can I bump stop prevent my car from bottoming out??????

Your friend is sitting on the bumpstop so you dont hear a bang when the shock hits metal to metal. Get some GC top hats and bumpstops and see if your problem isnt better.

Slightly too large of an ID isn't an issue for a bumpstop. Slightly too small can be corrected with a dremel.

The shock shaft on my Konis are something like 2mm larger in diameter than my stock shocks. I just cut in half and force fit the rear bumpstops in place. They stay at the top of the shaft directly under the upper shock mount, so there isn't friction or anything to worry about from the tight fit.
