It lights up like any other North American cluster...
The only difference is that it is in kms.
If you sand off the black paint on the orange plastic, that illuminates the front of the gauges, it looks amber.

Or you can replace the cluster bulbs to amber bulbs.

 

depends on the year.

88-89 plug and play on all models from these years.
90-91 plug and play on all models from these years.

if you are getting an 88-89 cluster to put in a 90-91, be sure to find the matching cluster shroud.

 

well heres the picture of it that he sent me i hope its the right year then cause my car is an 88 and he pulled it out a crx si but he did not tell me what year he got it out of shoot getting kind of worried now i hope it works keeping my fingers crossed

 

where do you get the amber bulbs at

 

that is the right cluster. you are good to go.
... you COULD get amber bulbs... or you could just paint them. hit up an auto-part store for some bulb paint.
