i have a gsr shortblock which is why i posted here. Ive only drove the car once since the swap but when i drive it or start it it bends the end of the dipstick. Ive searched but cant find anything. Its a 96hb with a 01 b18c1 shortblock with a 99-00 b16 head. Oem headgasket, arp headstuds. Thanks in advanced.

 

Any ideas?

 

maybe your dipstick is too long? idk.

 

Thats odd never seen that happen before. Maybe it is the wrong dipstick but thats just a guess no knowledge behind that.

 

Are you sure that dip stick belongs to that engine? like everyone said, it sounds like it's too long. Just go grab a new one for a GSR at the dealership, they are pretty inexpensive. I think I paid $11 for my new B17 dip stick.

 

I thought it might be to long. Can anyone measure their gsr dipstick so i know for sure?
