So I guess they are still in business and still doing car shows, just no more racing. I thought they were done and out of business after last year?

 

Received one for a time attack event last month somewhere else. Have no idea what is going on with them.

How is this drag related Chad.

 

Because they were a big force as to how our sport was doing in the past, without a big sanctioning body a lot of people are discouraged. To each their own on that point, but as stated above it does affect people.

I guess since they are still around they should work on paying back some of the sponsors of the classes that they bailed on midway through last year . . . .

HAHA I wish. If I could be home for more then a day and a half I might actually be able to get some work done on my car. I will make it out to one event this year and pretty sure I won't be wearing a shirt.


But I thought it was interesting that NOPI is having a car show when I thought they owed a lot of people money. Maybe they are trying to make a come back and this is their first step. As much as people hate them and are pissed what they did, I really miss traveling around and just hanging out with all the racers, going to dinner and having fun...

 

Hey they gotta make a living and that is what they do. I think they have been having events all last year also.

 

Making money by giving empty promises to sponsors who willingly handed over money expecting a race season to happen. . .

Man that sounds like a move that a dirty politician would make. . .

Nopiman should run for state senate, he would definitely win

 

Most businesses fail, so did theirs and coming into a tough economy. They gave a pretty long run at it and gave many good years. I think I raced my first NOPI race in Wisconsin like 11 or 12 years ago.

More than half our country CHOSE a dirty politician to be our leader and look where it has us headed. I think people don't mind taking it in the ***...you know as long as they get their stimulus check LOL

NOPI left a bad taste in my mouth folding midway through the season and NHRASC left a bad taste in my mouth after i sat in the season ending banquet and they talked about how good the 07 season was and how sony was going to continue to be a sponsor. I had a feeling then because 08 was never mentioned that something seemed strange, but i blew it off. Then a few days later talk of a merger. WTF!!!!

I do miss following a national series. I have no need to build a pro car and feel bad for those that built them and planned on racing a high profile series.

 

due time there will be a full pro series in the very near future.
