there is like a cross on the piston. u need to turn it. u can do it with a screw driver, or go to pep boys and get one of those "cubes" that fits over it to turn
Where's yo manual Stan?
No need to remove the parking brake cable.
Use a large screwdriver or table knife.

I had to use vice grips to twist mine back in, not even the cube thing would turn it, took nearly 15minutes to do each side, but they went in eventually
Lol, dont worry, i had that problem too when i did it. couldnt figure it out for like 30 minutes of stratching my head, then finally came to the computer and found out.

needle-nose pliers work wonderfully. i had a hard time using that cube shaped thing. just be careful not to tear the rubber boot around it
If you can get a hold of a Snap On Catalog, the part number for the rear brake piston rotation tool is 07716-0020100 ks 9L 20 X 24.

1/4" thick flat file works wonderfully. Lots of leverage and no chance of slippage.

I've always used either needle nose pliers or the cube tool that attaches to a 3/8" ratchet/extension... I've also heard of people using screwdrivers, hex keys, etc..
yea that **** was annoying the first time i did honda brakes.... good thing it was my moms car and not mine... i tried hitting that **** with a hammer and chisel

yea when i first did my rear's, i bent a C clamp trying to push it in. went to pep boys thinkin i broke the caliper and some chick hands me the cube and said that it would fix it. I was endebted to that chick for months..she was hot too!!
good thing I had a service manual and the internet the first time I did my brakes
I remember I asked hella questions before I attempted to change my brake pads cuz I didn't want to mess up on a safety component

I usually bleed my brakes annually or when I change the pads just to get the old stuff out but you don't HAVE to... when you push them back in you have to align the groove in the "+" w/ an indentation on the inner pad.. when you have it apart you'll see what I'm talking about...
damn you need to buy a manual.. just compress the piston/turn it clockwise so it compresses down then align it w/ the indentation on the pad and your good to go.. you don't HAVE TO bleed the brakes during a pad change... I do it just to flush the system and get out the old fluid...
