So i dyno'd my 08 SI and....
made 180whp air temp was 94F outside. Car is bone stock with 13k on it. Oh it has a K&N drop in filter. My questions is whats the best way to get 20 more hp out of it? I want to keep it N/A.
Thanks in advance

Well I had Sri, Comptech Shorrty header and Evo 2 Exhaust while still running stock cat for carb reasons, and I was at 200whp@150wtq. Not sure if your worried about CARB or not running your stock cat. But if i had it to do over again I would have just gone with a race header and the sri and my evo 2 exhaust and would have been at about 215whp. So choice it yours and especially if you get flashpro and tune it all together youd be sitting very nice.
And yea I have to agree, drop in filter=still stock.

I'm not too convinced that a K&N Filter does much of anything in a brand new Si with a perfectly clean filter.
Maybe on an 06 that has been through two rough winters.

I'd suggest first a Hondata Reflash and plan on getting at least one bolt on to go with it, as they have a reflash they can do which highly suggests atleast a intake, header or exhaust. Sounds like the DC Race Header is a good option and just about any basic intake. No need for going into the motor to make 200 whp in my opinions
Considering the flashpro is a couple hundred dollars more I'd say the reflash is grossly obsolete.
Considering the vehicle doesn't come stock with a K&N filter and that a K&N filter is regarded as a performance upgrade I'd have to disagree and say you are wrong.

K&N Filter or not, if you still have the stock intake, you have a stock intake.
flashpro and cams if you don't care to open up your motor would do you really good.
but you can always go say for example flashpro with an intake/header/exhaust.
and you should be at your goal easily.
good luck !

Not to change the subject but do people still not know or are unaware that FlashPro has been out? Because I keep seeing people suggest the Reflash, instead of flashpro. and Im seriously confused as to why. Flash Pro is by far highly advanced compared to the old reflash. just curious.. dunno I guess. But yeah intake header exhuast can get u 200whp without flashpro, but having flashpro makes it SOOOO much better!!!! That is my next buy..
header and exhaust, or flashpro wit a header.
and ive read a ton of times that the stock filter is just as good/better than the k&n. the only good thing about the k&n is it can be cleaned but its cheaper to replace the stock one a few times so whats the difference

the k&n oem replacement filter gives you more power?
but anywho, with my injen sri, s2 race header, and rrc manifold, josh @ il4 told me i was looking at around 220hp

Fawk it mang......go Jackson Supercharger, baha!!! :D
Headers, Exhaust with Test Pipe if you can, intake, and a Flashpro. You'll be guaaraannnteeeed to get 20 OR well over 20whp. Every car is different, but with those mods you WILL get 20whp Guaranteed!

3" will work just fine in a bolt-on only car. It will be loud as hell but it will be fine. 2.5-3" has been found to work well in both NA and boosted Kseries so far. The difference between the two in either application is negligible.
If you are looking for 20+whp, I/H/E will get you there with ease. Then step on up to NST pulleys, skunk2 intake mani, upgrade the TB and hook it up with flashpro/AP. That's about it for simple bolt-ons. After that you are talking about head work, cams, valve terrain and building the bottom end.
The absolute highest numbers I have seen on a NA 8th was the Hytech build, they hit 275+whp but the car was not even close to street legal after that and it cost more than a boosted build.
