OBD1 engine into OBD2 car
Ok my buddy at work has a 95 integra and he has a b18c1 and he wants to sell me the whole engine for 3K it has VERY low milage because he built it with all new parts so he spend around 6K on everything but now he wants an EVO so hes gonna sell his engine and car for a down payment. I want his engine but im worried because my 96 civic is OBD2 what do I need to do to put that engine into my car? And will everything be ok for smog (CA) sorry if my questions are dumb but im a super n00b.

You cannot legally put an OBD1 engine into an OBD2 car in California. It has to be same year or newer as the car. There's no legitimate way to get around this.
#1 rule of state emissions not to have older motor in a newer car. comp hookups for it wont read right and will fail u forever. idk y ppl put older motors in newer cars.
