What clutch?
I have a 96 Spec JDM ITR
I need to replace my clutch disc...

This was an ACT Hybrid Street Disc with a ACT Heavy Duty Pressure plate and ACT Pro Lite flywheel.
I've had it for 3 years and 55,000+ kms.
It's streetable but I won't mind something a little softer.
I've never had the stock clutch, so I was thinking about trying it. But, I should be over 190whp in a few weeks so I'm wondering if I should just buy back the ACT disc and deal with it.

whaoooo. dont just replace the disc. replace both the disc n pressure plate. 3yrs and 55000kms is some miles on that pressure plate. i got a set of zoom stage2 clutxh/pressure plate f/s. im me if ur interestedn ill send some pix late.
My stock disc did the same thing as your ACT. I replaced it with the same set-up as yours, ACT street disc and ACT HD pressure plate, except with a Fidanza aluminum FW. The increase in pedal stiffness is very minor over stock. I'm very happy with it. Perfect for a daily that may see the track.
You could also try the Exedy stg1. Basically an OEM replacement.

that disc has the dankin stamp on it. like in exedy, is that who's making act's stuff?
the difference between OE and the exedy stage 1 is basically in spring pressure. the material is the same but that one appears to be the same as the exedy stage 1, bigger springs. it's hard to tell in a pic but those look larger than OE replacement springs.
the stage one puts up with hard drops and abuse a little better than the oe replacement. both are organic discs, it's just you're more likely to do what you just did in the pic to an oe replacement faster than you would the stage 1

^ You're right, that is a Daikin logo, I bought a new ACT Hybrid Street disc last night and it's very different from the one above; the springs are yellow and the disc has less copper strips in it. (I'll post a pic later).
It seems that when the guy installed it for me 3 years ago, he used something else.
