91 Hatch Base Model B16 or ZC Swap?
Hey everyone.. I just bought a 91 Hatch with the 1.5 and 4 speed manual a few weeks ago. I knew I was buying the slowest one but I was okay with that for now. I have read alot of different swap info but I can't seem to find anything about the 4 speed manual. Will that cause any shifter or linkage issues when I go to a B16 with a 5 speed cable tranny? Or will it just bolt right in? I have years of experience working on cars but this is my first Honda that I have actually considered a swap in. Any advice or information you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.

you cant use your 4 speed.. as long as you get the right mounts and the right tranny you'll be fine..check out my build thread for some infro its in my sig.. i went from an auto d15 to a manual d16z6 now im in the procees of completing my b16 swap..
do any b-series..ull feel the difference big time...but if u do..the b-series axles wont fit into ur hubs/knuckles...they r too thick..and the axles for the 4spd tranny are skinnier.. i just changed the whole front brakes/hubs the the integra da
Does Hasport or any other company make an axle that has the thicker inner axle that goes in the B16 tranny with the thinner outer axle that will go in my hub? If not I guess changing the brakes out isn't that big of a deal but it always sucks having to do extra work.. Also if I do an Early B16 swap are there any wiring/ecu adapters that I will need since I have the base model? Or a more aggressive ECU than the factory one that will come with the Engine? I know I have a bunch of questions but it is tough to find these answers in the forums. Everything is so spread out.
yeah..we all go thru these problems...u should just change ur hubs to the DA's...is also kinda a bigger break conversion too..lol...and u bould use any b series axles and they will fit ur tranny and hubs..
