If the clutch was not broken in properly, the clutch will be glazed over from all the heat and will slip if it becomes like this.

Honestly, I have a LSD motorsports clutch, 320 shipped to my house, CA to Ohio, clutch is rated for 465 ft lbs for my turbo setup. Great guys, they wouldn't sell me a clutch until I knew which trans I had, they were VERY helpful, and I love the clutch in my car. It's a little stiff obviously, but well worth it. I won't have to worry about it slipping on me.
