Quick introduction - name's Robert, 23 year old guy from Sweden. I got a 1998 EDM DC2, with a 2005 K20A2 (Kpro, S2S2 cams, Hytech header, 220+ whp etc etc).

Now to my question, and yes, i've searched alot, but no real answers (then again, results can vary with wheels, depending on ET/tires/etc).

I've found a nice set of Work Emotion XD9's, 17x8.5 ET42, can i make them fit?
Right now im running a set of Rays Prodrive GC-07, 17x7.5, ET44. Using PIC Performance Select coilovers. Fenders are rolled, but not pulled.

Any help appreciated

ITR or not, what size tire could you safely use on an 17x8.5 that will keep the speedometer and odometer accurate?

205/40-17 tires seem to only be approved for wheels 7 to 8" wide,though I suppose you could try and use a 215/40-17. Either way, I'll bet the offset is too high for such wide wheels.

 

I do not worry about the speedo/odometer, it's just the fitment that im unsure about.

Rear fitment shouldn't really be a problem, with rolled fenders, coilovers and camber-kit, i think im pretty safe there. It's up front im unsure about..

 

Nope. For 17" wheels, you need 205/40-17 tires. And that size should only be mounted on wheels 7.0-8.0 inches wide.

 

gay. what a waste of money. what do you hope to achieve with rims like these?
