I use to be able to close my hatch but i had to slam it now it wont close at all what could be the problem?

 

make sure the release inside the car by the seat is all the way down. spray the latch itself with wd40 and then use a screwdriver to see if the latch will close and latch with the screwdriver. if it does u need to adjust the latch. if it doesnt latch shut with the screwdriver then u need a new latch mechanism. hope this helps!
