swapping a k swap into my civic Ej1, and i just got an rsx base front clip (since i NEEDED the base axels)

and i have the subframe left over. my friend (NOT credible source, he thinks drifting is cool, claims he is a Nissan silivia/240sx/skyline expert but has never heard of a disco potato. has a bone stock 95 240sx that he can't get started.)

anyways stated that people use these things to swap k series motors into their 01-05 civics, is this true or pure bullshit? i didn't even know you CAN get k series motors into these civics, i thought that if you didn't get a EP3, you were pretty much stuck with the d17's

it has the mounts, brakes, on it.

should i toss it or sell it for cheap? i was thinking like $15 bucks just to get it out of here and get someone else into the k series powered cars

 

Its true the subframe is useful to 01-05 civics for kswaps. The brakes also.

 

ive seen subframes go for upwards of $200 i traveled 2hrs and paid $100 for mine but sh*t now a days money is money. $15? ur nuttier than your skyline/silvia nut swingin friend. put it up in the for sale thread $150 obo plus hsipping or pick up.

 

didn't know they went that high, are k series swaps common?

i didn't plan on making any money back after the only $1500 i spent on the rear ended base RSX shell.

and the last thing i want to do is make a profit on K series swap.

 

Sell it for $100-150. There not that common but some of us do have them in our 7th gen's.

 

just curious but how bad was the wrecked car you purchased?

 

i don't have it anymore, you could see where the car hit it in the back like the car took a notch out of it
