NEHC goes to Lime Rock Park!

richie hunter does it again. rich and jim hovey battled on friday for a few laps, but jim had brake trouble and richie was able to pull away for the win.
saturday, was a bit more intense. rich puts it on the pole for h2 and checks out early. but got turned around by a hoodless 944 going tino the left hander. he got back on track at the rear of the h2 field. most would say his day was done but i figured the show was about to start. rich went on a tare movig back through the field. he made back from 6th to 2nd. then jim hovey missed the apex on the downhill by about 6 feet and turns it around. lucky he kept it out of the wall at the bottom of the hill, but another spin would come in big bend due to dirty tires. this would give richie the time he needed to catch and pass jim for the lead. jims spins would also allow zephyr to move into the 2 spot after a good battle with stef chang who had to do some last minute adjustments to her fire bottle bracket in the grid. jim would end up splitting the two of them, followed by joon kim in the chang h2 rental with the new set-up. stef holifield was getting faster and faster every session out, but was sidelined in saturdays race with technical dificulties.
all in all, a good race and a good weekend!!! pics to follow once they get loaded

Thanks for the write up Spencer.
This was my first time at Limerock since they repaved it. It is so nice being on a smooth track. I still don't have what it takes to go fast on that track though, then again Richie has more laps there then all the other Honda Challenge drivers combined and then some. The man is just fast. My car seemed to be reasonably quick on this track however I need to get the splitter back on the car. I also have a feeling that one of my front shocks is blown. I really don't like running on the R888's.
As with the rest of the NEHC season we had a good driver turnout and our series is continuing to grow. This weekend saw two new faces running in H2 with us in Northeast Honda Challenge. Allen moved is second gen CRX up from H4 to H2 and Richie Hunter decided to come play with us. Now we need all 12 NEHC H2 cars show up for our next three rounds at Pocono, Watkins Glen and then Thunderbolt.

Glad to see you all had a great time, sorry I missed it. I won't be at Pocono, I'll be on my way out to nationals. See you guys at Watkins Glen and New Jersey.
