Stage 2 clutch disc

Around February I was broke as a joke and my motor blew. I collected pennies here and there and had a shop swap my blown Y7. My clutch was wearing out but it still had around ~5000 miles left. I couldn't afford a whole clutch set up so I just had them change the clutch itself and re use my stock pressure plate and throw out bearing.


For the past ~2 weeks my tranny has been making some funny noises. Ill try to describe them as detailed as possible.

At idle, it sounds perfect. No noises.

6 out of 10 times, when Im driving in first, @ 4000RPMs it starts a loud and annoying semi grinding noise. Not an actual gear grind, but as if something in the tranny was grinding.
It also does it in other gears too but not 4th and 5th.

Also, I cant exactly down shift. Say I try to go from 4th to 3rd, I have to heel-toe. Give it some gas and it goes into gear smoothly. Then it makes the noise. I could put down shift with heel-toe, but the gear kinda pushes back and has a small grind. Again, the grind is not your usual miss shift grind. Its like something in the tranny starts whining/grinding and then it goes into gear.

As for power, its still there. Its just the noises that are really bugging me and are annoying.

i'm having a simular problem but mine has a squeeling noise almost like a burnout i've been told i'ts a troughout bearing. I'm trying to find a write up on how to replace it in a b16a.

 

To the OP, you should check your transmission fluid level and maybe clutch fluid.
