I have a 91 civic x 4 door and im planning on either 2 things either swapping for a b16a or goin towards a mini-me swap depends on how deep my pockets are once i figure out this problem i have. my car is stock d15b2 5speed and its carb/dual point. i need help figuring out how to convert it to multi point. ive searched throught the internet and a lot of car forums but i havent found a legit description on how to do this. someone told me something about a resistor box but i need step by step or a web site thatll help me. please try and email me because i rarely check ht.com. nathan96786@yahoo.com

Thanks site was very helpful...now I have another ? I have a y8 intake manifold and a si wire hareness that I scooped for free at the junkyard. Will I be able to use my exsisting wire harness and the convert it w/the y8 manifold? Help!

 

^^^ the wire harness is from an 89 si hatch w/fuel rail with plugs.

 

No the Si wiring harness will NOT plug into the LX, DX, or STD underdash harness. You either have to replace the whole underdash harness from a MPFI car for the Si engine harness to plug into it.

The reason it doesn't work is the round plug at the firewall on the LX harness does not have the pins for the Cylinder Position Sensor, which you have to run new wires for.

Just use your exisiting wire harness, you only have to run like 4 new wires to the engine bay, it would be much easier than tearing out the entire dash in my opinion.

 

^^^ damn that just made my day haha what about the fuel rail and the plugs my stock harness doesn't have the 4 plughs it has the brwn yellow and green plugs. I've done swaps b4 but I've never had to do this and a lot of my friends don't and the ones that do have lost contact. Thanks again for the help

 

It's Dual Point Fuel Injection, not carbed

 

Its both because there's a carb on top and 2 injectors google a picture that's a carbeurator with injectors

 

It is like throttle body injection. Carb engines don't use injectors, or wiring, they use vacuum.

It will tell you how to run the wires for the injectors. Everything you need to make your car Multi Port is on that page. Countless people have used it with great success.
