Default Need some crx 101. anyone?

Im looking to buy a 88 or so crx. understand this is a project car and really I could care less what happens to it. Im really very interested in this project and excited to say the least. What engine should i get? Friends tell me a b16. Were going to gut the car and build the engine. Forged componets such as pistons, rods. Also adding high performance head and cams. Id like to be able to run 200shot of nitrous to it as well. We have high hopes for this project and hope we can ge the car into the 9s. From what Im told a person here in AZ has a gutted crx with 250hp to the ground running 11.5@117mph. When I heard this I knew it would be an awesome project. I realize this sounds lame or you will mistake me as a troll on the board but Im completly honest. I know very little about hondas (obviously). Can anyone lend me some info. Maybe what engine, compression, head, cam, or such. Also the best place to get engine for cheap.. Hope you guys can help. thanks.

Forgive the lameness.. its almost 4am.

since you will be swapping engines, get the HF. its the lightest. and as far as engines go, i wouldnt recommend a b16 if youre planning getting into the 9s. get the NSX engine, turbo, and then spray it with 200 shot and there you go.

dont get ur panties in a bunch for the first reply u get
if u really wanna get a CRX for a proyect car and for drag i recomend u to get a CRX HF, get a mount kit, slap a H22 in that baby.. with that u will be running flat 13's.... build the head and the bottom with good parts, dont settle for just forged and ****..... make sure u got that baby running with a good fuel system and slap a turbo with at least 22 psi..... with a reinforced build engine u can do that.... or u cal lower the pressure, to 15psi and shot a 100 shot of No2 at the same time...... i will reallly stay away from the NO2 and just do a good work on fuel management and a turbo setup... u can be running mid 10's or low 11's....... if ur goal its 9's i then tell u that u need some mad cash to made that happen!

yeah i was just messing with you in my first post. it would be really, really hard to get one of these four cylinders in the 9's. youve got to have a LARGE wallet to make that happen. and as a base, the h22 would be good. but its very hard to get it in the 9s without alot of money and good knowledge of this stuff. but good luck anyways
