Default question on OEM lug nuts

I have a 91 DA with 95 GSR rims and I'm planning on installing wheel locks (one on each wheel) The original lugs are "ball seated". I saw some wheel locks at a local parts shop and I noticed that they were "coned seated". Will the cone seat be okay or is that a no no?

Thanks.

Best to use wheel locks from the dealer that have the ball seat.

ABSOLUTELY NOT safe to run conical seat lug nuts on spherical-seat wheels. The lug nuts will barely make contact with the wheel seating surface, which will make it much more likely for the nuts to loosen up and fall off while driving.

Thanks for the info. I saw some ball style ones from gorilla. Part # is 38431N.

This is pretty much what happened to my friends car lol. Good thing he was driving it on the street locally and not on the freeway.
