88-89 EF Hatch Front Seats - Aftermarket
I'm getting ready to take out the front stock seats and replace them with some aftermarket sports seats (looking into the Sparco Speed and Corbeau A4 / GTS models). I need them to recline as I still want a usable backseat for my son and for access to rear seats.
I also saw the Bride knockoffs - they worry me as I'm 6'3 210lbs and have a 36" waist...I probably won't fit in them unless they are wide. I just fit in an A4 with comfort but will likely get the wide versions for more comfort and a variety of passengers when I'm instructing (I often give students a ride - I'm a DE instructor in my region).
I've been reading through certain info and want to confirm if these assumptions are correct. The 88-89 had a different mount than the 90-91. Has anyone installed Corbeau or Sparcos in an 88-89 and what did they have to do to get them to fit properly - and allow them to keep sliders?

88-89 is different from 90-91. All you need to do for aftermarket seats is get the 88-89 seat brackets. You cant use the stock ones. Wedge enginering custom makes the and corbeau also has them listed on there site. You will also need the sliders. Some aftermarkt seats come equiped with them.
