Hi

I got a problem with my igntion or starter signal I dont know..the car is a 1990 crx

some times when I turn the key.. the starter wont turn.. I ear all the relay click but nothing happen on the starter.

so when this happen.. I pop the hood and I jump the starter to the 12v battery pole.. and it crank and the engine runs.

I ear the clutch relay , so I dont think this is the problem..

so its not a starter problem

 

Is it a new starter?

 

I believe your car has a STARTER relay. They rarely go bad,
but you should be able to get one cheap at a pick-n-pull to rule that out.
Its near the main relay, and is a pain to get to.

 

I dont think I got a relay for the starter.. check this out

 

My first guess was the solinoid. If the key does not fire you may have a Key switch problem.?
