koni/gc question on civic

Default koni/gc question on civic

If you look in this pic, you see the silver "cup" in the rear shock box, and in the front you see the silver "hat" things to the right end of the front shock box. Every DIY ive seen, they arent being used, so why are they in the box?

They're in the box because you need them to use stock springs or lowering springs with the Koni dampers. You don't need them for coilover sleeves that have a circlip groove machined into the bottom edge of the sleeve.
