crx seats into my hatch(help)
ok i have some 1989 crx si seats that i want to put into my 1990 hatch. i know they wont fit but my question is that area on the floor that sticks up that has the holes for the bolts to hold ur seat in.. is that hollow? like is there anything inthere at all? cause my idea was to make 2 brackets that go across the front 2 and a onew that goes across the back to. then just drill holes into the car and use screws to hold them in.
don't drill holes!! i got mine in by taking the wire out that makes them slide as one and playwith it and then you bend the tabs and it will bolt up on three hole and the seat is stationary but that how you do it without a pan swap.

You guys that have done the seat pan swap, isn't it essentially kind of jerry-rigging it though? I thought I saw it was basically zip-tied together, unless I misunderstood it at the time.
I've had a pair of CRX Si seats for a year or two now for my hatch but haven't put them in yet because I've been leery of several of the methods I've seen.

zipties may look jerry rigged or gaudy but their at the bottom of the seat so they will not be seen. and theres no real safety issue because all the zipties are doing is holding the fabric to the seat pan.
