Default Wrecked S2k help

Ok so its finally that time I get my dream car. Ive been looking on copart for a while and found this car. Do you guy think the core support looks bent? If so are they fixable? Im not too familiar with body work and was wondering what you guy think. Thanks.

congrats on the new ride and the way it looks on the pics I think the rad support needs some work and also the tip of the driver side frame needs to be pulled

I guess the question really is, how much are you going to buy it for? If you're gonna pick it up for $1500-$2000 then I'd say you'd be getting a pretty good deal. Anything more than that and you're going to be getting into a situation where you're going to be putting more money into it than it's worth.

For starters, it's going to have to spend some time on a frame machine. The pass fender is pushed in from opening the door, and the driver side is pushed out from the wreck, so the whole front end is going to need a lot of work, not just the core support.

Just my $.02, but like I said, what are you getting it for?

save your money. parts for these things are not cheap.

you can get a decent 00-01 with under 100k miles for 7500-10k if you are patient

I bought a salvage s2000 one week ago ( maybe you saw my rebuild thread ) and you'll alwys find bad surprises when you tear down the parts to see the frame

try to find a good accident and a good place to get it fixed if you're not too familiar with bodywork

good luck !

Don't look for one that was wrecked! Look for one that was stolen and stripped.

Lol, not even worth buying it like that. Parts for S2K cost an arm and leg.

So you're 18 and trying to buy a nice car (s2k) on a budget.

Not a good idea. Did you look into insurance or anything else? That certainly has a salvage title.

This car will probably never drive the same again. I'm surprised that it's not totalled escpecially since that is a MY00-01. If you can get it cheap, buy it and part it out.
