OK... So I have been trying to figure out this VSS situation for the LONGEST time. I found this while searching...
http://hondaswap.com/general-tech-ma...es-vss-128865/
Now, according to that, they are the same except for the gears... BUT that is obd2... I believe that the sensors I have are obd1. Also according to that, the d series is a plastic gear, and b is a metal gear. On the ones I have I dunno what they came from, I think my plastic one is from a D, dunno about the metal one... BUT The metal on there are 2 mounting holes which neither of them line up with the hole on my tranny to bolt it down.
On the other hand, the d series one DOES line up... I'm confused now... They both have the same size gear, and also have the same number (20) teeth. Should I do the metal gear swap over to the plastic gear holder? I dunno what I should do OR if it will even work.
Thanks for any help.
EDIT-
After closer inspection, as similar as they look, they ARE different and the gears pins are NOT swappable...

if you're trying to make your integra cluster work properly,
use ANY of the electronic vss that you can get a hold of.
wires go like this, ( snap face, facing you ) power / signal / ground.
if it would bolt in perfectly, it's fine. just as long as the vss gear is IN the tranny.
