Default New to forums...noobie question

Hey...I had to get an auto RSX for personal reasons...really wish I had a Type S...but I was wondering if there will ever be something like a new chip that can improve the sportshift, since the technology on the sportshift is improving...
also...something to where the RPMs drop down quicker...just anything to improve shifting and a little bit more speed...
I kno I shouldnt expect much from a base auto RSX...i know its quick...i just want it to be faster...^^

One of the moderators on clubrsx has a sportshift. He has a lot done to it, including n2o. Look for Azaghelsei.

yah i'm around.

hondata is coming out with an ecu chip. i've heard rumors of another chip (or maybe it's the same hondata ecu) that will make the tiptronic shifting INSTANT with no delay, and help on overall car response. actually, now that i think about it more i do believe it's the hondata ecu, but i could be wrong.

if i hear more info or read more somewhere i'll start a thread with info.

how do you like the rsx overall, and it being auto?

have you done anything aftermarket?

Oh...great...that sounds awesome
I would lvoe for that to happen...
I know the new MR2 Spyder has a really nice sportshift...where the shifts are pretty quick. Then you have like the 360 Modena and other exotic cars w/ the paddle shifting...it would be great if the car could shift instantly...

Overall...I like the RSX...even though it's an auto...I perfer the Type S of course, but I'm happy with this car. I paid only half and I'm only 17. Maybe a bit more than half since I traded in my 96 Accord LX that I bought. The only thing I did aftermarke for my engine was an AEM CAI. Im waiting for hte Comptech Icebox now...Im going to order some Eibach's...not sure if Im going to ge the pro or sportline...

Are you azhangzei? or another guy? what all have you done to your car? run any times?

No, I'm not 'azhangzei'.

I'm definitely looking forward to the hondata ecu for the speed ups, redline ups, and shifting speed ups.

Things I've done to my car:

Ground Control Coil-Overs
AEM Cold Air Intake
Had AF1 Body Kit (in process of selling)
Eclipse 55430 Deck
Phillips H1 5000K HID Kit
Skunk2 Cat-Back Exhaust

I'm looking into Spoon front and rear strut bars now, but nothing is for sure.

As far as running my car at the track, I've not.

what the ****? two intakes? why would someone do that? i've heard of someone buying a aem and selling it due to boost, but how about a nice drop over the 2nd intake, you only have one intake manifold....both intakes are great, but do you need two? IMO

I've heard good things about the CompTech Icebox. Is it worth it? How much performance increase expected? Price?

but why buy 2 intakes? are you gonna find a buyer for your aem, but in the end, you wasted somewhere from 20-70 bucks.. its like say you buy those dc headers for the rsx right, but then you go off and buy toda headers when they come out.... then you decide to boost or whatever. you're wasting money on things already modified, when you can use the money toward something else.. i hear real good thiings about comptech/aem. but will that make me ditch mine and get a comptech? no. INTAKES ARE OVER-RATED... hahaha whatever..just my opinion

I wasn't thinking of changing... just wanted to learn more about the product. Figured you would know since your buying it.

I don't think intakes are overrated... good hp bonuses, especially for price.
