Default distributor help

just got my car fixed and they replaced the clutch, rear main seal, clutch master cylinder, clutch , slathe, and dirstibutor. when im driving if i go higher than 3000 rpm my rpms, start to jump like to about 3200 then back down, if i keep climbing in rpms, the rpm guage jumps more sparatically, like dancing around but the car is still accelerating and not really jerking or nothing, i can feel maybe a slight jolt. i asked someone and he said that the dirstibutor might be bad. what do you guys think?

the tach could be bad....check out a wiring diagram and follow the wire from the tach to the dist. it could be loose. i dont think anything mechanically is wrong with the dist if the car isnt jumping when the rpms do. i think it is an electrical issue.
