I am in the process of refinishing some polished barrels, they are SSR's, originally polished, then clearcoated over from the factory, well the clearcoat is a little foggy from 15 years of aging and I want to completely strip it and then finish by polishing the aluminum. Will paint stripper get through the clearcoat on there (Aircraft spray stripper now SUCKS since they changed the formula)?


Question is will it harm the aluminum finish to where Mothers polish won't bring it back and will have to be sanded down?
