Need help passing inspection in Va
I got a 1996 EJ* with a B18c swap... The guy at the inspection place said he couldnt get any connectivity with the scanner... How do I fix this problem?? Im running a ODB2 P72
from what i've heard, it's harder to pass a b18c with an obdII then it is with an obdI. my suggestion is, search to see if people have had better luck with an obdI to pass inspection. lately H-T has had a lot of threads about passing inspections, and why they did and not passing inspections, and why they failed.
hope this helped you.
good luck!

DLC stands for the data link connector under the dash where OBD2 scanners connect.
Check to see if you have battery voltage on pin #16 of the DLC with the ignition switch in RUN. Some scanners will not communicate without power on this pin. Could just be a blown fuse.
