Default Bad vibration in shifter!

I recently purchased a 1996 Civic EX with a b16a2 swap. A couple of days after I bought it my shift linkage came loose. I had to buy a new bolt and nut because they had came loose and fallen out.

However I notice my car has really bad vibrations in the shiftknob expecially when you get to 4000rpm's it starts shaking violently and you can hear metal clanking.

Any ideas what this could be?

loose or broken mount maybe? check that your T-bracket is properly secured, also check to see if you have torque mounts..

how bad? can it be your exhaust hitting it?
also did you check to see if they used an actual pin or a bolt for the "bitch pin"

alot of people can't deal with the pin and stick a bolt in there..its never tight enough.

Its bad, alot worse than if the exhaust was hitting it.

Well I did it myself. I went to the local auto store and got a bolt and nut that fit it the tightest.

Is this whats causing it?

does your car have solid mounts? the person that you bought the car from probably installed solid mounts when they did the swap. they'll make your shifter vibrate like hell!
