me with a 94 dx hatch with d16z6 vtec motor with a dx transmission

vs

a d15b7 vtec with ex/si transmission( another eg hatch)

i lost by half a fender......

raced 3 times with almost results

we were tied till almost end of 2nd gear for me and third and i start catching up in 4th gear

HOW CAN I LOSE can it be the less accelartion in the transmission?

cause i have really long gears i be hiting over 70 in second gear basically

 

any comment on this?

 

That race doesnt sound very exciting.

 

normally people dont like threads that have to do with street racing, mods definely dont because its illegal.
bu the dx tranny sucks for acelerating, the ex/ si does not.

The reason it doesnt sound exciting is because both cars are pretty lame, I would rather watch two fast cars race than two slow cars.

 

you need to get the ex tranny, that our your not a good driver and he is.

you could either swab to an ex/si tranny or go lightweight flywheel.

an MSD6AL and blaster SS might do well too.

btw it had a ex/si tranny but the tranny went on me

and my buddy gave me this random tranny that he had laying around just put it in to drive the car again...........

 

oh, theres noithing wrong with the dx tranny its just ment for mpg not anything else

 

just get the ex/si tranny and throw a little turbo on it.
