So I bought a DICE ipod integration kit (model R2) to go w/ my 98 integra headunit. There website clearly states that it's a standard fit.

Now after receiving my dice kit, I come to find out that the 98 integra headunit is different than the 99-01's and the plugs don't fit. I called dice and they were absolutely no help.

1) Has anyone run into this before???
2) Can I cut the stock wiring harness, wire in the 99-01 harness and purchase a cheap stock 99-01 headunit off ebay?

Any help is appreciated

You could wire in a 99-01 HU if you want to use that ipod kit, yes. Ideally, use a forward harness and a reverse harness 70-1720 & 71-1721 iirc.

 

Do I simply splice the 2 kits together? Or do the male and female ends match up so I don't have to strip, splice, and solder

 

wire the two harness (71-1721 & 70-1720) together color for color and plug and play to a 99-01 headunit.
