What Clutch Should I Get For My Em1
I was looking at ACT but i dont know whats good or not. Just got in the game first honda. Im not boosted or anything...yet. I was thinking a stage two so when i do start doing stuff i would have a decent clutch. I just dont want to spend a **** load of money. 500 Or a little over is my max. 300 To 400 is what im shooting for. What are some good brands?
DO NOT get an ACT stage 2... The engagement is still pretty smooth but the pedal effort is ridiculous... It is just too stiff for a daily driven car in my opinion...
hey hows its going, owner of 2 em1s here, in one i have the fidanzza light weight flywheel and ACT stage 2 clutch........ with that one when you first get it, be ready for some hurting because it is true as stated before me that it is hard. but its amazing at the track great hook up and really takes abuse......... the other EM1 is fitted with OEM clutch and fidanzza light weight flywheel and does just fine as a daily driver and is easy on the leg.

What Are your plans for the car in the neer future?
I've used alot of companies clutch set-up's and I think for your application I'd go with ACT, I've never had a problem with there products, have I seen problems with ACT clutch's, yeah, but not many and your always gonna hear a few stories about someone's bad experience but it's like that with any product out there.
If your going to leave it pretty much stock I'd stay with a full face disc and go with like a Heavy duty Pressure plate. You could get away with the SP pressure plate that ACT offers but there isn't much room to grow with that one I don't think and the HD isn't to bad on the extra pedal feel. and that pressure plate will hold alot more torque if you decide to put it to use in the near future. As for a flywheel, IDK if i'd spend the cash on an ACT one or not I'd personally go with a Fidanza you can usually find them pretty cheap and they work great and have a replacable fiction surface if you need to ever replace it!
hope that helped a little lol
