well the local paint place only carries sherwin williams products, and since im spraying my engine bay soon its time to buy the supplies so i got a couple quotes today
one quote was just 375 (one gallon base, one clear) for the basecoat/clearcoat and the products needed to mix with them
the other quote (for 7000 series??) was for almost 900 (one gallon base, one gallon clear)
is it worth it to go with the higher end 7000 series for the base and clear, or should i go with the cheaper base and more expensive clear??

I used Sherwin williams for awhile before we switched to chroma and its a nice paint. Liek said above some colors are hard to color match especially yellows. But overall its a good paint it has a reactive reducer which is basically a hardener in the base. I believe the one I used was the higher end. But if its for your engine bay jsut go with the cheaper brand. I use Nason(cheap brand) for all my engine bays, wheels and small parts, and every once in a while an overall.
